Richard Place Dobson (RPD), Crawley-based Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors are pleased to introduce the RPD Foundation, a Charity created by RPD Director Darren Harding and the Foundation’s CEO Daran Bennett.
The RPD Foundation, which is an extension of RPD’s long-standing work in the community, aims to advise and support charities and not for profit organisations (at any stage of their development) with financial know-how, strategy, governance, and controls. As an entity in its own right, the Foundation also helps with choosing suitable operating models and with business development and fundraising.
The RPD Foundation provides a valuable vehicle to drive partners’ charitable ambitions and this is where the Foundation supports and sits alongside RPD. They help manage RPD fundraising activities, for example, the RPD team supported by the foundation, are currently fundraising for Kent, Surrey, and Sussex Air Ambulance (KSS).
The Foundation promotes Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), advises individuals on charitable giving, and helps encourage employees to participate in voluntary work. Alongside this, the Foundation aims to deliver education and training through its own fundraising activities. It also aims to realise the aspirations of awarding grants to those that would not otherwise have access to this level of support for the Voluntary Sector.
The Foundation is currently working with a number of partners, including Gatwick Diamond Business (GDB), developing a coordinated, supportive, and collaborative response to the impact of Covid-19 on employment.
Daran Bennett, CEO at the RPD Foundation said: “We look forward to working with RPD and are thankful for their support. We are excited to have engaged a number of key partners who recognise the gaps we are looking to bridge from the not-for-profit and commercial sectors, which begins in earnest with the C-19 recovery initiative fast developing in the pipeline”.
