Career rundown

After leaving school I went to work at an accountancy practice which I didn’t like at all, it was far too quiet. I then moved into industry for a while where I completed my AAT. After realising there wasn’t anywhere to progress, I was drawn to RPD by the charity sector and the friendly environment when I was interviewed. I have worked for RPD for nearly 17 years where I have worked my way up form being a junior to a senior manager and completed a diploma in charity accounting.

What would you be if you weren’t an accountant?

I would like to work with animals.

What do you find most rewarding about your job?

Providing good service and meeting client’s expectations. I also find it rewarding training new staff members and helping them through their career progression.

I always wanted to be an accountant.
