Services for charities
Company secretarial
Running a charity comes with a raft of statutory obligations and duties. For most charity leaders, they’re an irritating additional burden that gets in the way of doing great work. Fortunately, we can help.
The Charities Act 2011 is the primary source of administrative legislation affecting UK charities. It covers things such as the duties of charity trustees and the requirement to prepare and file key documents with the Charity Commission. Some charities are also set up as companies and so would also be governed by the Companies Act. Though most charities have a full tax exemption they are also required at times to file returns and other forms with HMRC as and when they are required or requested.
We can give you complete peace of mind by carrying out your charity secretarial duties for you. That includes handling the charity’s formation, the preparation and submission of statutory returns, preparation of documents, recording minutes and resolutions and maintenance of statutory books.
We can provide the registered office address that the company is obliged to have, for the likes of Companies House and HMRC.
We can also provide ongoing advice on company law and company finances, including guidance on how any changes might apply to your charity.
